Teams

“At the beginning of the programme, we were ten individuals with very different communication, project management and general working styles. Jacqui helped us to become a cohesive team and supported us through our journey. She is genuine and sincere and has an ability to connect with people, to encourage and guide them to come to conclusions on their own, and to inspire results.”

High Performance Team Coaching

What is it?

By definition, a team is a group of people who share a common purpose. High Performance Team Coaching focuses on working with your team to improve the collective contribution to your organization.

Senior teams often fail to harness the sum of its parts. In High Performance Team Coaching, you work with your coach to:

  • Clarify your team purpose.
  • Enhance collective team performance, turning talk into action and achieving goals.
  • Develop your team process: how to resolve your differences, how to make decisions and how to ensure that everyone contributes.
  • Pay attention to meeting the needs of your stakeholders.
  • Build resilience and manage stress in order to contribute more to the team.

How is it done?

A High Performance Team Coaching programme is tailored to the needs of your team.

A typical team journey might be organised around:

  • A series of 1 or 2 day off-site workshops.
  • Meeting facilitation.
  • 1-2-1 coaching for individual team members.
  • Team diagnostics and assessments which uncover performance gaps in your team.

Benefits

High Performance Team Coaching establishes a culture of collective leadership. Team members are able to learn from each other and build strong, trusting relationships.

Your team will benefit from:

  • Action planning.
  • Conflict and dilemma resolution.
  • Improved problem solving.
  • A set of team values and clarity of goals.
  • The ability to share different perspectives and ideas.

External Facilitation

What is it?

In External Facilitation, a coach facilitates your meeting or discussion. External facilitation works through the process and structure of your team’s communication so that you better understand each other and your respective points of view.

The focus of the coach is to enhance:

  • Your problem solving and decision making.
  • The overall effectiveness of your group meeting.
  • The contribution of each team member.

How is it done?

The external facilitator works with the meeting organiser to establish the direction of the meeting.

The meeting will often follow an outcome based structure:

  • The coach and your team agree on specific objectives.
  • The coach and your team set a broad intent.
  • The coach assembles a process and structure for the discussion.
  • You and your team follow the structure and reflect on the outcomes at the end.

Benefits

External facilitation works to ensure that everyone in your team can contribute to the discussion. Your team of individuals become a collaborative body.

The benefits are:

  • Enhanced decision making and problem solving.
  • A method to ensure that you have more productive meetings in the future.
  • A neutral space to integrate your newly formed team.
  • A difficult and challenging topic is worked through with the help of a skillful, external facilitator.
